Privacy policy

The Belgian Financial Forum (“the Forum”) records your personal data in order to provide you, on your request, with information about the future activities of the Forum and to be able to process your registration to such an activity. The Forum bases its processing of these personal data on Article 6.1, (a), (b) and (f) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation – GDPR).

The following data can be recorded:

  • Name and first name;
  • The name of the institution or company where you are employed and the department;
  • Your function;
  • Your e-mail address;
  • Your telephone number;
  • Your VAT number;
  • The request for an attendance certificate.

The Forum is responsible for the processing of these personal data. The data are only accessible to a limited number of the Forum’s staff who are in charge of the organization of the activities of the Forum and the administration of the Forum (“need-to-know” principle). Your personal data will not be communicated to third parties unless the laws and regulations oblige the Forum to disclose the data. The Forum processes and stores the personal data for the period strictly necessary to achieve the objectives of the processing.

Provided that the conditions defined in the relevant laws and regulations are met, you have the right:

  • to access your personal data and rectify them if appropriate;
  • to object to this processing on grounds relating to your particular situation;
  • to obtain erasure of your personal data or restriction of their processing;
  • to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used format which is machine readable, and to transmit those data to another data controller;
  • to lodge a complaint to the Data Protection Authority if you consider that the processing of your personal data infringes the laws and regulations applicable.
